Kabir M. Abdullahi
National Coordinator, National Social Safety-nets Coordinating Office
Kabir Mohammed Abdullahi is the acting National Coordinator, National Social Safety-nets Coordinating Office.
Kabir is a certified Program Manager with Prince2 certification from UK. He formerly served as a Team Lead, Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative – a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded Project, under the John Hopkins University Center for Communication Program (JHUCCP), Baltimore.
He also held senior management positions at Population Council – Nigeria Country Office, and at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation – Nigeria Country Office. Before moving into development work, he had worked in the office of the Special Adviser (Political) to the Vice President 2000 – 2005 as a Principal Administrative Officer, on secondment from the World Bank funded National Livestock Development Project where he had worked 1993 – 2000. Kabir is a PhD candidate in Defense and Security Studies.
He holds an MPhil in Leadership and Strategic Studies, and other graduate degrees in Leadership and Strategic Studies, Development Studies, Population Studies, and Management. He has interest in program management and research with primarily focus on health, poverty, gender, youth programming, as well as on conflict, displacement and resettlement.
